Wisdom teeth are the last set of molars to grow in at the back of the upper and lower jaw; however, the average mouth is typically too small to accommodate their growth. “I brought my son here at Central Mass Oral Surgery to have his wisdom teeth extracted by Dr. Colarusso. My son was a little bit anxious because he has never experienced this before, but once we arrived, everybody in the office was very understanding and put him at ease. They did four extractions of his wisdom teeth, and it took approximately 10 minutes for the whole procedure, and after, he recovered beautifully. Dr. Colarusso is a highly professional individual, and we were very comfortable, and we were very confident in what he needed to do. “I came to Central Mass Oral Surgery to get my wisdom teeth out. I thought that it was going to be very painful and scary, but I ended up being pretty comfortable in the office. Dr. Baran is very friendly, and he did a great job explaining what the procedure really entailed, so I knew exactly what would be happening to me on the day of the operation. I felt like he cared about me as a patient; he called me a day or two after the surgery to see how it was going, as well as followed up with me the next week. The staff was very friendly. They made things very easy and seamless on the days that I came in before the surgery, like for consultations, as well as on the day of surgery. “I needed an oral surgeon because my wisdom teeth were severely impacted, and my teeth had begun crowding in the front of my mouth. I have a very large fear of surgeries and needles and everything, but I felt really relaxed once Dr. Baran came in to talk to me, and it was a great procedure. I was awake the whole time. I was still very nervous, but the nurses were very nice, and they were calming me down, and it went smoothly. Within 30 minutes I think I was done. Dr. Baran is a very nice man. He has a very soothing voice, and he has a great sense of humor. The staff was really nice, really patient with me. They just stood by my side the whole time, held my hand, told me to keep breathing, and they were really sweet. ‘I had to come here and get my wisdom teeth taken out. The procedure was really easy. Afterwards, I went home; I think I took one of the painkillers they gave me, and that night I had a hamburger. Dr. Colarusso was pretty wonderful. He was very friendly and made me feel welcome. I didn’t get jitters on the day I came in. He made me feel at home here, and of course, the building is like a five-star hotel, so when I showed up, it was really homey. The staff was great. Just like Dr. Colarusso, they were very welcoming and offered me drinks, if I needed it — water. If a friend had to get their wisdom teeth taken out, I’d tell them to come here, of course, because the staff’s really nice, the doctors know what they’re doing, and the recovery isn’t bad at all. “I got my wisdom teeth out here about last year, and it was a pretty great experience from Dr. Colarusso, who took them out. Came here for our surgery, and it was painless. It was pretty easy. It was very quick, and the recovery time was very short. Dr. Colarusso – he’s formal, but he’s also goofy. He likes to joke around; he’ll make you laugh. The staff was very nice, very kind. They took care of me. They made sure I was comfortable. Would recommend this to anybody dealing with tooth decay bone grafting, dental implants, or has high anxiety when going to the dentist the building itself felt like a high-end hotel and very relaxing. Every part of the experience was in a comfortable nice room with very kind and considerate staff from check-in to billing at the end.

I am most disappointed that your establishment does not offer a cash discount. I have been given a quote of over $1500 to have my two wisdom teeth extracted ("could be less if they come out easy" the check out person said). I asked if there is a AAA, AARP, or cash discount. I was told no. Most offices grace clients with at ;east a 10% discount for paying cash. I have had to save for this procedure; I am a new business owner with no income (thus the reason for being on Tufts MassHealth). My business have won 6 "best of" awards in the last year and I work approximately 80 hours per week. I belong to several boards and business associations. I am not a slouch or a handout person. I will be calling today to move my appointment up a month or two since I will not have the money saved by the time of my booked appointment. I think you should reconsider and offer at least a 10-15% discount to cash paying customers. It would help your cash flow. Thank you for your consideration.
