About Dr. Colarusso

Dr. Carmine A. Colarusso is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon committed to providing top-quality patient care in his local community. He grew up in Medford, Massachusetts, and began an advanced education in oral surgery after deciding that he found the art of surgery very interesting. Once completing his residency, he began working at the private practice of Central Mass Oral Surgery in 1999. He became a managing partner in 2001, hiring his current partner, Dr. Baran and associate Dr. Kobakov a few years later.

With years of expertise and skill in oral surgery, Dr. Colarusso understands that patients can have uncertainties and concerns when receiving an oral surgery procedure. He is focused on providing personalized treatment to help each patient feel like a member of the Central Mass Oral Surgery family. The staff that assists Dr. Colarusso works hard to create a welcoming and comforting office environment for every patient visit. Our goal is to form treatment plans that are tailored to your oral health. His top priority is to restore your smile in every visit to the practice.

Education

Dr. Colarusso received his undergraduate degree from Colby College and went on to receive his Doctor of Medicine at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1995. He then attended a four-year residency program in oral and maxillofacial surgery.

Residency

Dr. Colarusso completed his oral and maxillofacial residency at Boston City Hospital, Boston University, and Tufts University (through a combined Tufts and BU program). During his residency, he gained extensive training in oral and facial procedures such as dental implants, wisdom teeth, reconstructive facial surgery, and much more. He is also highly trained in the administration of anesthesia to provide comfort to all patients receiving oral surgery procedures.

Hobbies and Interests

When he is not working, Dr. Colarusso enjoys spending time with his wife and kids. He takes his family to their vacation home in Cape Cod when his son and daughter are not busy playing baseball and lacrosse. He is also a New England Patriot’s fan.
